Man identified in connection with Derby tricycle incident

Officers have now spoken with a man in connection with an incident in Derby City centre on Thursday, December 20, in which a cyclist was injured.

It was reported that a woman was cycling along St. Peter’s Street, when a man jumped on the back of her tricycle, causing it to topple over.

The cyclist sustained injuries to her side which required hospital treatment.

Following a successful media appeal, a 37-year-old man from St. Helens, Merseyside, voluntarily attended an interview with officers on Tuesday, January 23, and has been summonsed to court.
