Anti social behaviour treated with Zero Tolerance approach

Alert message sent 01/02/2019 21:58:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

We are getting regular calls for service regarding large groups of youths drinking alcohol and slne drug use in the underpass/subway adjacent to Erewash Museum in Ilkeston town centre.
Your safer neighbourhood team are taking a zero tolerance approach by confiscating alcohol, dispersing the youths, returning some home to co-operative parents in person. We are issuing anti-social behaviour letters complaining evidence towards acceptable behaviour contracts and we use section 34 dispersal orders to our advantage. We film our activity on our body worn videos and cctv operators keep an eye on the area.
This evening saw team work confiscate a large amount of alcohol.
We thank informants for ringing us and advising us when to take action.
