Appeal to identify a witness after burglary in Midway Swadlincote

Officers investigating a burglary at a house in Burton Road, Midway would like help identifying a pedestrian, who was seen in the area that afternoon.

The burglary is reported to have happened between 3pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, January 5. Keys to two vehicles, jewellery and a quantity of cash were taken.

The person pictured was walking along Burton Road, between the Wheel Inn and the Sandcliffe Road crossroads, at the time of the burglary. The person had to walk around a dark-coloured Volkswagen Touareg, which was parked on the kerb at the time.

We would like to identify this person, so we can speak to them about what they may have seen that afternoon. Officers stress that this person is sought purely as a witness to events.
