Witnesses sought to Derby flower seller assault

We are appealing for witnesses to an assault which took place in Corn Market, at around 11.30pm on Saturday, March 2.

Officers were called to reports that a man had assaulted a flower seller before running off, leaving the victim with head injuries which required hospital treatment.

Following the incident, police detained a 25-year-old man in Sadler Gate. He was arrested on suspicion of assault, and has been released under investigation.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault. If you have any information which may assist with our enquiries, please get in touch using one of the following non-emergency contact methods.
