Further details regarding assault in Derby street

With reference to our previous release, we now have more details of the suspects, and the areas where we are looking to check CCTV footage.

A man suffered a dislocated shoulder when he was robbed by a gang in Derby.

At 11.30pm on Thursday 26 March, a 33-year-old man was walking down Industrial Street when he was approached by a group of three or four men.
They assaulted him and took his bag.

He has described the group as black, of athletic build and all wearing dark clothing. One wore a cap and had gold on the upper part of his jacket, shoulders and zip. This male was a light skinned and had a light stubble beard.

Anyone who saw or heard anything, or may have CCTV footage from 11:15pm until midnight that covers Western Road, Temple Street or Providence Street that night should contact Detective Staff Investigator Umer Iqbal and quote reference 20*164868.
