Identification required of nuisance bikes at Swarkstone

Alert message sent 06/04/2020 17:30:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

Melbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team have received a number of reports in relation to a group of young males riding around on off road motorbikes.

They appear to come from the direction of Lowes Lane, cross over to Woodshop Lane and exit via through Swarkestone bridge, heading in the direction of Ingleby.

The bikes are not road registered and the way they are being driven is likely to cause alarm, distress and harassment to members of the local community. This, coupled with the fact that some of the riders aren't wearing appropriate protective gear I.E helmets, is both unacceptable and illegal.

Please look at the pictures attached and let us know if YOU can identify anyone.

We are appealing for any information you may have that would aid us in identifying the bikers as this will assist us in taking further action against them.

Any information passed over will be handled in confidence and anonymity will apply at all times.

If you have any information please reply to this message.
