Man jailed for the theft of construction equipment

A man has been jailed for the theft of construction equipment from outside a home in Chesterfield.

The equipment, which included a wacker plate and a wheelbarrow, was stolen from outside a house on Sedbergh Crescent in Newbold during the evening of Friday 5 May.

31 year old Liam Rough, formerly of Green Farm Close, Holme Hall, appeared before magistrates at Chesterfield Justice Centre on Wednesday 3 June.

He pleaded guilty to theft by finding and was sentenced to six weeks imprisonment.
