Man arrested for indecent images and racially aggravated harassment

A man has been arrested on suspicion of distributing indecent images of a child following reports that a webpage featuring images of women and girls, had been created without their consent.

The webpage also allegedly contained inappropriate and racist comments about some of those featured.

The 33-year-old man, was also arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated harassment and malicious communications yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 16 June). The arrest came after we received a substantial number of reports about the webpage on Monday evening and into Tuesday.

The man has since been released on police bail and enquiries are continuing.
