Appeal following incident involving a man and woman in Chinley

Alert message sent 22/06/2020 17:01:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

We’re appealing for information following an incident where a man was reported to have been behaving erratically and distressed on a street in Chinley.

Officers were called about the man, who was with a young woman, on Friday 19 June between around 3pm and 3.15pm on Green Lane.

We received reports that there had also allegedly been some kind of an altercation.
A large group of people had gathered at the time officers arrived, and we would particularly like to trace anyone who may have witnessed the incident but has not yet come forward.

We would also like to speak to a man who had been driving a silver vehicle, but stopped and appeared to be recording the incident on his phone, as well as a woman who had been walking a dog and stopped to help the young woman at the time.

If you saw the incident, or have any information which could help with our inquiries, please contact us using one of the following non-emergency contact methods.
