New officers on the beat in the East of Derby

Four new Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) have started on the beat in the suburbs to the East of Derby.

The PCSOs pictured here, started their new roles at the start of this month (July) and are now patrolling Sinfin, Chellaston, Alvaston and Boulton.

PCSOs Will Phipps and Alexandra Duesbury will be based in Sinfin and Chellaston with PCSOs Joshua Matthews and Ben Wheatley in Alvaston and Boulton.

PCSO supervisor Mark Cox, said: “It’s great to welcome them all to the team and it shows that we are committed to providing a policing service to the communities.

“They have joined the other PCSOs and police officers on the Safer Neighbourhood teams and will be dealing with the issues that are identified to us by those in our neighbourhoods.”
