Community Speed Watch Event held in Hayfield

Alert message sent 28/09/2020 18:51:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

Glossop Police SNT - A Community Speed Watch Event was held by the Hadfield Team today [Monday 28th September] at Little Hayfield near the Lantern Pike PH on the A624 - between 2.50 pm and 3.50 pm.

The speed limit at this location is 30 mph.

A total of 694 vehicles went by the team during the hour the event took place.

Today only 1 vehicle was recorded driving above 36 mph and the driver, registered keeper of that vehicle will now receive a letter of advice on this occasion.

A big well done to our 3 volunteers today - without whom this event could not have been completed.

Remember - Speed Watch is a community-based, education-centred scheme that helps ordinary people make a significant contribution to improving the safety of our roads
