Community Speedwatch

Alert message sent 07/10/2020 14:36:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

Following a number of complaints about speeding in the Hayfield and Little Hayfield area's; Hayfield Parish Council and Police Safer Neighbourhood Team are hoping to set up a Community Speedwatch Scheme. Some residents have already expressed an interest in volunteering and we are hoping to recruit some more. Information regarding Community Speedwatch is available on the Police Website: www.derbyshire.police.uk
PCSO Alan Nield says "It would be great to have a good pool of volunteers, so that the scheme can operate regularly and it doesn't always fall to the same few. Volunteers get a great sense of Community from the scheme and are contributing to the safety of all" Training is provided and Hayfield Parish Council are considering funding options.
If you would be interested in joining the scheme, please contact: alan.nield@derbyshire.police.uk
