Witnesses sought after a 74-year-old woman is robbed in Chesterfield

We are appealing for witnesses after a 74-year-old woman was robbed in Chesterfield.

At about 11.15am on Wednesday 23 October, she was walking along Rose Hill when she was approached from behind by a man who reached into her bag and took her purse.

He ran off down Soresby Street towards the Market Place.

She has described the robber as white, very slim and in his early 20s. He had short, dark hair, a pointy nose, and wore a navy blue jacket and dark trousers.
