Witness appeal after man assaulted in Eckington

Officers investigating an assault in Eckington are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

The incident, which occurred between 8am and 10am on 8 October, in Southgate, saw the victim, a 48-year-old man from Eckington, suffer injuries to his face which required hospital treatment. 

Since the incident a number of lines of enquiry have been followed and officers are now asking for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who was in the area around the time of the incident, to get in touch.
