Stored weapons

Alert message sent 19/11/2020 10:03:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

On the 1711/2020 we recovered a large knife that has been stored in a hedgerow in Shelton Lock, close to an area where there has been reports of young males potentially with knives. It has been there for some weeks. Later we approached two males who were using a pick axe on a children's play area in Osmatson and that a neighbour knew them by name and that "they always have it". Please if you do know of any weapons, or items that could be used as weapons, that are being stored or hidden in the community, let us know. You can do this by ringing 101 or stopping us when we are out on patrol as well as on Facebook and our online reporting forum. It is imperative we get these off our streets and not readily accessible to young people.
