Police and firefighters in Darley Abbey this morning to support man

Alert message sent 20/12/2020 10:59:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

We want to reassure residents living in Darley Abbey, who may have seen police officers and firefighters in the area this morning.

We were called at 8am by a passer-by, who was concerned for the safety of a man on the bridge over the River Derwent at Old Lane.

Officers went to the area, supported by our colleagues from the fire service, and spoke to the man on the bridge. He is now receiving support.
