Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Police & Crime Commissioner

PCC Hardyal Dhindsa wishes you and everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

“Christmas is fast approaching, and although it will be celebrated differently this time round, I hope that you find some time to relax and enjoy this very special time of year.
"The last nine months have been difficult, and has brought unprecedented and hitherto inconceivable challenges, we can only hope that the vaccine will slowly bring us back to a more normal way of life.
"But we have learned some positive lessons along the way and we have been reminded to be thankful for what we have and the people in our lives.
"A new year brings with it excitement and possibility.  After a year like the one we’ve had, even the events we once would have considered as the ‘everyday’ can be a cause for celebration.
"I always see December as the month of finales and new beginnings. Hopefully that will ring true this year, more than any other.
"Whatever 2020 has brought to you I would like to wish you all a happy and safe festive season with the hint of a more promising new year to look forward to."
