Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

Dear Residents
Your Safer Neighborhood Team were on there way to Shelton Lock to make enquiries into a hate incident, following a neighbour dispute one of the party allegedly sprayed graffiti on the window of a vulnerable elderly person. The language used could create tension within the community and further repercussions to the victim. This was an act of retaliation and intimidation, if the neighbour had any concerns or allegations they should have followed the correct channels to report it.
We will be working closely with the local housing provider for that location to see how we can offer further support the victim.
