Appeal after man dies in a collision on the A50

We are appealing for witnesses after a man sadly died in a collision last night on the A50 near Chellaston.

The incident was reported to us just before 7pm yesterday (Tuesday 12 January) and involved three lorries and a car.

The A50 was closed both ways between while emergency services attended the scene.

Sadly, a man aged in his 30s died at the scene and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

Officers investigating the collision would like to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam footage which could help with their inquiries.
