Traffic Operation

Alert message sent 10/02/2021 15:59:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

Officers have been out today in the lovely weather completing traffic operations in Castle Gresley, Woodville and Hilton after concerns raised by our community.

Two vehicles seized for no insurance, one of them also had no licence. Multiple tickets issued for drivers driving whilst on a mobile phone and for not wearing a seatbelt.

The Sergeant was dragged out of his office today for his annual seizure after a Ford Fiesta was spotted in Hilton being driven by a female without a licence.

Speed checks have also been completed at the locations.

As a Safer Neighbourhood Team our role is to respond to concerns from the community. We also have response teams at Swadlincote that deal with other matters such as burglaries and thefts; and respond to 999 emergency calls.
