Alert message sent 13/02/2021 18:56:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

Glossop Police SNT #OpDerbsyhire

After reports of multiple vehicles being left in the car park, at Crowden village, off the A628 Woodhead Road, this evening.

Officers attended re possible COV 19 breaches and on arrival 7 vehicles were found to be still parked there and un attended at around 5 pm.

"Did you need to Drive Here ?" leaflets were attached to the vehicles.

As Officers continue to apply the four step escalation process

✅Engage
✅Explain
✅Encourage and only
✅Enforce as a last resort

It is hoped that the first three steps used and applied by Officers tonight will ensure and prevent the last step being needed.
And that those drivers on their return will digest and understand the message.

Remember Government guidance states that we should :-
"ALL BE STAYING LOCAL"

If Officers believe that you have left home without a reasonable excuse then you may be fined.
